PLEASE STOP SENDING ME EMAILS AND PMs ABOUT WAYS TO GET ILLEGAL GAMES!
I'll help anyone install Homebrews and other related stuff on your Wii, but I won't help you on mod-chipped consoles (I have no way to make tests on Mod-Chipped consoles, because I have none.) or downloaded games. You can just google a little bit to get that kind of information.
Downloaded Games are ILLEGAL and I will not tell you how to get'em.

-----

A little video proving that the new system update released on 23/10/2008 for the Wii will not interfere with any kind of Homebrew related software as long as you had a cIOS before installing it.

Any Truncha related bug installation or application will be blocked by the update though.
This means that installing a new cIOS, HBC beta8, AnyTitle Deleter, and some other apps will stop working. Even the new WAD Manager 1.3 will not work unless you have a cIOS installed.

So far, the only way to downgrade from this update needs a cIOS too, so be sure to install one before updating.

  • dude can u help me plz , kk my wii system is VERSION 4.1E and theres a newer version and my friend who gave me the homebrew channel and whts in it told me not to update it !! so if i update mine will i lose the homebrew and all the stuff?????

  • If you want homebrew, you can't want to have the latest FW. They're just not compatible with each other. Just ask your friend to help you if there's a way to update the Wii with homebrew, otherwise you'll lose your Homebrew Channel

  • if you update your wii, will your game data be lost?

  • Unless there is a serious error (And note that I never heard about anyone who actually HAD one), you will not lose any game data (I think that means save data to you right?) or channels.

  • err, all my games are back-ups i already have homebrew installed...but does backup loader and geckoos work on 4.0..and how do i get the cIOS, will the custom ios let me use backup loader and geckoos

  • Just install the cIOS rev9 and use Waninkoko Firmware Updater 4.0. Don't forget to install cMIOS after that. You will be able to install WADs and run homebrew.
