@dandbradley Lance Banana-Nose Russell was an old obnoxious Jerry Lawler ass-sucking windbag and Dave Brown was his homosexual third-rate weatherman sidekick. I spit on all three of them and their fans.

The WWE just used this last month with Christian and Randy Orton. Wow!

The dream team would be Jim Ross and Lance Russell.

Technically, if this had been legit, Steve could have filed a complaint about the spit since that is referee's discretion as a foul in pro wrestling. It is considered unsportsmanlike conduct in boxing and other combat sports. Don't see why it wouldn't be in wrestling. If Norvell wanted it 100% clean and zero tolerance on infractions then technically he should have been DQed.

This was February 22nd 1982.

WWE...take note...THIS is how you make an entertaining wrestling show. This is 10 times funnier than any of the forced toilet humor that Vince/Triple H & company lobs at us every week. This is just flat out brilliant booking. Even TV script writers could learn a thing or two from this. Genius.

@GShea Jim Ross was the best. But I like Lance better than Solie. Lance is probably number2 in my book and perfect for this promotion.

I am from Memphis and always followed the wrestling close. I never heard of a legit encounter between Koko and Steve Keirn. That does not mean it did not happen.

He was especially good as a tag team wrestler and had several titles as both one third of the original Midnight Express (yes they were originally a stable), as well as one half of the Pretty Young Things with Koko B. Ware

in this area you had the rock n roll, The original midnight express and The Fabs all at one time but on diffrent teams. Good ole memphis wrestling.
Lance sold storylines better, and FINALLY... someone acknowledges DAVE BROWN. Those guys worked well together.

I liked Bob Caudle's commentary in Mid-Atlantic. He sounded like a country preacher calling matches.
