Video clips from between 12:45 and 1:45 AM on election night on U Street. There was an informal PARTY in the streets - people were EVERYWHERE, dancing and cheering, hi-fiving, hugging, smiling ... it was AWESOME!

This is the 2nd version of the same video, where I tried to optimize it a little more (not sure if it worked, oh well)

  • I am from DC and of course all those people are from DC. You think all those young people jet-setted in from Hollywood.

It was a beautiful moment. Has there EVER been this kind of outpouring of joy at the election of a President? I get choked up every time I watch one of these videos.

    Thanks for posting.

  • I some how get the feeling that Ron Paul supporters will be the ones to survive the destructive policies of Obama as he sends our beloved country further and further down the toilet.

Why dont you take our money back Obama from them AIG people? huh?

  • Stop trying to hide your WEAK argument behind the blacks.

They HATE out of town midwestern transplants more than I do.

  • That is my point.

I could care less about who won or lost

Small midwesterners migrate to big cities such as NY and DC so that they can brag to their friends and family back home in the midwest about living in NY and DC.

They add NOTHING to the community.

FAKE city dwellers is what we call them over here.

    Transplant Scum.

  • by the way, csmaca, this could be the BEST celebration election video i've seen - the size and enthusiasm of the crowd, the fireworks, and the weird banana guy, are just spectacular. makes me wish i had been there. thanks for recording and posting.

  • and for the record, bulletsbasketball, didya happen to notice all the black people in the video, einstein??? think they trekked in from some small midwestern town, too, ding dong??? must be excruciating for you, knowing 92% of your city went for obama. i've got an idea - how about YOU head to the midwest where people don't feel the need to celebrate in the streets, according to you? then you'll feel more at home and the rest of us won't have to be bothered by you.

  • bulletsbasketballdc, you're a freaking idiot. these celebrations took place all over the country, you fucking moron. it may be too painful to admit, but millions of americans were ecstatic about this win, largely in metropolitan communities - and their celebration showed it. smal midwesterners DON'T celebrate like this - big citydwellers do. classic right wing paranoia, believing that others who disagree with you must be the minority. idiot. go back in your hole and mourn your loss, leave us be.

  • What about my turtle?

  • I got my ticket, ill be right there in an hour to impregnate your sister and then your dad...and then your dog...and cat....

  • I GUARANTEE you would not come to DC and say that shit to my face.

So say what you want behind the safety of your computer screen.

    Keep this in mind.

The DC police have a HORRIBLE track record when it comes to solving crimes.

Comimg over here and mouthing off to the wrong person can get you into some serious trouble.

  • lmao
