don't get it.. UAW doesn't wan't Ch.11 as it will give big 3 legal ability to restructure UAW contracts. So WHY IN THE HELL would they not agree to concessions to allow bail-out money to be given to the big 3? You're banking on Bush to rescue you?

The UAW simply does not want chapeter 11 restructuring as it will end their continued sucking of the life out of these companies. Reality is not enough was retained from UAW wages over time to pay for UAW benefits and the majority of members are retied. This government money will flow to the retirees, most of which are far better of than the average American citizen.

Did anyone else notice that the voiceover is only present in the left audio channel? I usually only put in my right earbud at work so that I can hear what's going on around me. At first I thought that the ad was just music and photos.

Fitting, however, that the real message should come from the left.

Bankers actually have a college degree and other relevant qualification. A high school diploma ain't gonna be enough for you work at JP morgan's and etc.

On the other hand, an able bodied 24 year old Latino could probably work at auto assembly lines, with some proper training. GIVE these jobs to the poor.

Jean, you're talking apples and oranges here. An infantry veteran, I didn't serve my country for the money. I understand career military families need decent housing and all that, but that is another issue. To me, the core issue here is about what is right and fair. Nowadays, there's no discernible difference between a union boss in the auto industry and a corporate banker. Both have been greedy and corrupt, foolish and shortsighted. And now both have their hands out. I say no.
