the emotion put into the song itself and how joshua bell expresses it is amazing.

The Chaconne has (over the past year when I discovered it) had me listening to it like every single day. I'm at the moment working through all the movements of the Partita (the allemanda is definitely a alot easier :P). There is of course no question that Bell's technique is amazing, however once you have heard the Chaconne by Itzhak Perlman, there's no turning back. Both have competely different play styles, however Perlman's portrayal and style fits this piece like nothing else. IMO :)

@Dylan Archer It is indeed! But if, just if, they do this experiment at a rush hour that's after work, maybe there'll be a difference? And Joshua always move with the music when he performs, if, again, only if he plays as 'dramatic' and 'energetic' as he usual do, do you think there'll be a different outcome? It's just 'if' :)

Can ANYone point me towards footage of Joshua Bell performing at the PBS Dust To Dreams event? His performance was incredible but I can't seem to find it online anywhere nor the name of the piece(s) of music he performed along with the pianist. I'd really love to see it again. Anyone?

somehow, I can only feel the sorrow in Ivry GITLIS's performance for this piece. It is non-comparable in my own opinion.
