Sonic Youth - Chapel Hill (cover by Thiago Farias using Fender Mini-deluxe)

Tuning: eBGDAE (standard). An easier way to play this song without changing the guitar tuning. Enjoy!

Yes! Its clean tone is very nice too! I think is fine for practicing. If you like different tones maybe you will experiment record something with it. I will do it someday. I have another video using this amp on youtube. You can watch as another reference!

A beefy overdrive/distorion/fuzz pedal might compensate the practice amp and beginner's guitar.

And why not just play in a the right tuning? Sound way different, you'll notice the difference in sound instantly. The tunings for this song aren't even that extreme: EGDGED

Lee plays in this tuning though, just looked it up: EEBBEF#

Check out the "sonic youth guitar/bass tab archive". Don't know if I can post url's here, but that place has a lot of accurate sy tabs.

First of all, I used a Fender Mini-deluxe amp to show its sound. That's why I wrote "using Fender Mini-deluxe" in the title of this video. I didn't intend to make a professional record with this setup recorded with a commom camera.

I know the right tunnig of this music and I don't want url's for tabs in the right tunnig. I know that Google can help everyone about this.

The idea is playing this song without change the guitar tuning. For instance, if you are on the stage and don't have others guitars, just one in the standard tuning you can play this song like I did.

By the way, any song can be played in different regions of the guitar and you can adapt to play it in different tunings.

You didn't said yet what you think is wrong. What are the wrong musical notes?

Didn't mean to offend you dude, sorry if I pissed you of with my smart-ass comments...

But my whole point was that a song like that shouldn't be butchered so it'd be more convenient to play. I'm sure there's a zillion of positions and tunings to play it in, for all I care you do a polka-version of it on an alt-tuba....But I personally prefer indie/noise/punk/whtvr songs the way they were originaly written/recorded.

I understood, you don't like versions... ok! nothing more to say.

I used Fender Mini-deluxe amp and the Squier Tele Affinity guitar. I haven't found tabs for this music in the standard tuning on the net. By the way, could you say to me where do you think is wrong?
