Castlevania 3 Grant difference

This is just a quick video to show another minor difference between the two versions of Castlevania 3

This is from the Japanese version and involves the character of Grant as the title suggests. In the North American version his weapon is a knife and has a very short range, however as you'll see in this version he actually throws the knife and it will go across the screen until it hits something or goes out of view. This may come at a cost of power in the attack but I'm not sure, I discovered this for the first time today because I usually don't get Grant because he's rather weak but this factor gives me a slightly different view of him. It's too bad he can't do the same in our version.

I disagree, Sypha is better then Grant. Her magic attacks are a powerhouse especially the flames. One of her spells makes Dracula very easy

Not to mention I've seen some videos where the person doing them is just annoying when they talk. There are a few people who are good at it though.

@KiaOn10s hes just so eay to control, weak as fuck, haha, i think overall simons the best, but i prefer using grant most of the time cus of his control, hes so fluid, simons stiff, simons just easier to fight with, sypha is by far the worst hahaha

@cnh2132 No, japanese Grant throws daggers and can't get dagger as a special weapon.

@ryan489 Sypha has goods powers but grant in the japanese version is better than in the american.

Also alucard is good too...but i prefer grant or sypha because the ship area.....is OK,

i don't know which version of C3 you used, but i have both versions (japanese and english) and Grant has a small dagger as his main weapon, and the throwing dagger and the axe as sub weapons. His speed and ability make him superior to Sypha as you can use a lot of shortcuts throughout the entire game. If only he could have used the holly water, he would have been the best char in the game.

@KiaOn10s I have to agree with ryan489 on this one. Sypha's magic was some of the most powerful attacks in the game. Her spells made boss fights super easy.

Grant did have his uses but I found the later levels made Grant's abilities somewhat obsolete. Why climb when you could fly with Alucard.

This is just my opinion plus I'm partial to any video game character who wears blue =)
