I've seen many reviews which don't rate the pickup as being good. Hum, noise & possible distortion seem to be common complaints. IS it worth the hefty price, especially as the V-cable is VERY expensive for what it is if you wanted that as well? But it's the pickup that concerns me. Is it better to look for a different type & brand?
My GS has a VERY rich bass as well as a nifty treble. This demo seems thin - dare I say almost 'tinny' - compared to what I hear. Is that the pickup or mic?
