This is a video of me, a 34 year old paraplegic and my 3 friends that was shot by master filmmaker Halldór Kolbeins during our 5 day quad biking tour across Iceland.
This tour was done to raise awareness of the importance of improoving accessibility in tourist facilities on the highlands of Iceland. The tour was sponsored by many very good and visionary companies that despite the fact of an economic meltdown in Iceland, went ahead and supported us on our tour. Our main sponsors were Stormur - Polaris ATV dealer in Iceland, Sjálfsbjörg - the association of disabled in Iceland, Olís - Iceland Oil ltd, 66°North - Outdoor Clothing Company, Netto - Grocery Store and Safaris.is - Land Rover Experience Iceland. Many other companies sponsored us on our journey, either with funds or goods and individuals as well. With out them this tour would not have turned into reality.
For the summer of 2010 we have now organized similar quadbiking tours for the adventurous disabled traveler.

The next adventure takes place in the middle of September when we'll be travelling on our bikes on a tour called X-Iceland.
