This is how I am refinishing a set of old, beaten up Mizuno MP-14's.

  • I did the initial roughening with a sandpaper cylinder, then a scotch-brite type of wheel made by 3M, and finally a "soft", flexible wheel to polish. That's really all I know. I used my best judgement when picking the wheels out.

Also, just to note this: this will result in a rusted, raw look. The more sanding you do, the more raw it becomes upon use. I really like the way it looks when it rusts, I just want to make sure I let everyone know that.

  • Refinishing? You mean polishing? Refinishing is when you have the old chrome stripped off and new chrome put on. Why didn't just go get a bench grinder instead of having to hold a drill...they're like $45 bucks at Home Depot?

  • Too add to my first comment, Could you please go into detailed step by step way to get the best results??? Love the video. Looks like your the first on this subject to post a video. Thanks

  • Could you please give a little more info on all the grinding wheels and do you use wax or any product for a final finish coat to give the clubs a nice finish????

  • thanks
