Testing the video of the Olympus Xz1 in a PT-050 housing. Had no time to fix exposure/ white balance settings or try u/w scene modes (vid quite whitewashed), might miss the huge Octopus. Not so good in low light and wide angle but macro/ depth of field superb. The underwater photos of the xz1 is - perfect. Acquired for usd865 both cam+pt-050 housing brought by a friend from Malaysia

  • are you using Fantasea 44 LED Light as a light source for the video?

  • @reezalbasri yes, i however I dont recommend it has a weak beam for its size, too white, just bought it since was kinda co-erced into it (never rely on a dive store salesmans recom) , inons while pricey gets the job done, you get what you pay for

  • i can see u use an INON lens.

    is it a wet lens?

  • @aimforhell yes chief, inon ucl165, but have to unscrew for wa which consumes time, considering a quick release

  • Off to Belize on Saturday with the same kit - vid looks great for such a small camera!

What software did you use to edit the video?

  • @davidaj2003 Imovie apple, and did a lot of white balance edit- up red gain, lessen blue, suggest when shooting video, try scene mode underwater wide and macro presets, shot in manual why a bit whitewashed and exposure was auto, cam dumber (iq) than my previous panasonic in vid
