Now THAT is badass. As if the Thundercats reboot wasn't already awesome, this just made it even more awesome. I'm a life-long fan of the original (I own the complete series on DVD, and grew up watching the Cartoon Network reruns), and I am simply blown away by how well they were able to reboot this show. The plot is much improved over the original, and there are so many references and homages to the original it's mind-boggling!

@fbiuzz You're right. It wouldn't hurt for the producers to variate 2011 Mumm-Ra's transformation.

I hope they keep changing the transformation a bit because the same transformation keeps getting stale

1980's is just a mummy going into a growth spurt and growing alot of muscles overall a good transformation though not exactly terrifying

Mumm-Ra in mummy form kinda reminds me of Mr. Burns from The Simpsons, with the limp wrists! LOL Or "The Emperor" from Star Wars.

The producers were probably unsure how to do their transformation while staying true to the original, but not copying shot for shot. So they experimented with the "Journey to the Tower of Omens", and when they studied what the fans thought of it, they changed up the transformation.
