This is the solid shell stitch using double crochet. I started with half shell followed by a whole shell. To begin a half shell chain three, and then in the same space as the first chain, double crochet three. Skip a stitch then attach the half shell with a single stitch. For the whole shell, skip a stitch then six double crochet into the next stitch. Skip a stitch then attach the whole shell with a single crochet. row 2: To turn crochet three, then turn. make another half shell and attach at the top center of the previous row's whole shell with a single stitch. Six double crochet into the single stitch of the previous row makes another whole shell. Attach shell to the top of the half shell from the previous row.
