  • Funny to hear white singers doing this but Jane Froman is wonderful.

  • Jane Froman died 31 years ago today. Her voice remains, for me, with thanks to you and others who post her recordings and videos on YouTube, a treasure that new generations can enjoy. (Perhaps they will go beyond her music to learn something of her great courage and humanitarianism, as well!)

  • Thank you, once again, for this beautiful presentation of great music and wonderful images. I come back, again and again!

  • Boy, was THIS a different world! I was born in 1940 and my memories go back to 1943 and by the age of 4 I was an expert on all the popular records, songs and artists. I was singing songs made famous by girl singers before I could speak and had a clear memory of a life as an unsuccessful girl singer in L.A. in the 1930s and dying in 1938. Which means two years between lives, whatever that might mean. Froman was extraordinary, as you can hear, and eventually our paths crossed!

  • Thank you for another magnificent treasure! The photos are so special; the music is the best. Froman's "Summertime" is a classic among Gershwin/Shilkret classics:)
