Hymn "Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty" is interpreted by "The Mormon Tabernacle Choir" form Album "Hymns of Faith II" of year 1996.
Text: Reginald Heber Music: John B. Hykes Tune Name: Nicea
Lyrics Hymn:
"Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee; Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty! God in His glory, blessed Deity!
Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore thee, Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea; Cherubim and seraphim falling down before thee, Which wert, and art, and evermore shalt be.
Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide thee, Though the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see; Only thou art holy; there is none beside thee, Perfect in power, in love, and purity.
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! All thy works shall praise thy name in earth and sky and sea; Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty; God in His glory, blessed Deity! Amen."

which the mormons seem to have changed here. Oh and by the way, Jesus, Holy Spirt and Holy Father IS one - not are one! The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, HE IS one you see... not THEY are one!
I wasn't making a grammatical point. I was pointing out the mystery of the Christian Faith: the Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit IS One, and yet He is three persons. Grammatically you would be correct! Anyway, it is a disgrace that the mormons have changed the message of this great hymn. Indeed, the whole point of it having an "Amen" is because of the Doxology at the end "Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as it was, is and shall be" - and therefore Amen.
Amen and Amen! How tragic what the Mormons did with the hymn. The end of the first stanza reads: Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and mighty! God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!
I do not want to bash the Mormons. Let us be tollerant. I just wish they would leave other people's hymns alone. Fine the Mormons have a different view on the Trinity to mainline Christianity, but THIS hymn is inseperable from the latter - being a hymn that invokes the Blessed Trinity. The Mormons are not stupid, so it is a pity they did not realise this.
Hi Organisten - Just read your comment. I thought I'd acceptably settled in my own mind as - GOD is, in the 3 persons which always agree as one, therefore each of the persons is God and all of them is God. The Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Do I misunderstood your comment to be as assertiing there is a 3 headed God sharing the same body - for I can't quite square that one, although it seems to me the transubstantion concept in some religions seems also to go along much oft he 3-headed road too?
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations;and then shall the end come.matthew:24:14. THANKS JESUS.
