yes, my hair and fingernails are long. yes, i not only know how to fix this, i also have the tools required. yes, it is in this state by choice, and your distant and unrelated opinions and reactions will have very little effect on my choices.

  • Theres a reason to cut your finger nails besides just being the cultural norm, its just practical. If your fingernails are to long they get in the way.

  • yeah, i just broke one this weekend. i actually trim them quite short, but to a point, and then ignore them until they get to the point of getting in the way.

  • I've let my hair go, but my fingernails always get cut back one way or another.

  • r u really in control if u act a certian way just to be defiant of societal norms? ...unless you've considered other looks and found that to be most disirable. I'm just sayin

  • You said you didn't think the woman called it a burka?

When you can see her face, it's called a hijab, which is optional in most middle eastern cultures. When her entire body is covered head to toe, this is rarer than the hijab, but most of the time enforced in the countries that they're used in.

And no, I'm not a muslim, or arab, I just hang out with a lot of them, and this was one of the first things they cleared up for me.

Good video by the way. I agree with you whole-heartedly.

  • I also want to grow beard and finger nails. I want to look like a cave man. Thou i probably would lost my job. Thats pure freedom. Cos freedom doesnt come from your heart, it comes from your appearance. Am i right master Youda?

  • lol, don't be so sure stiffnee2000... i know girls who've grown up in a society where all girls around them wore clothing of this type, but they decided not to. And i know girls who've lived in western societies whose parents were actually against them covering their heads.. but they really wanted to, so they did... people come in all shapes and sizes, don't be so sure that you haven't been conditioned yourself to what you think is appropriate with regards to sexuality..

  • maybe she truly feels more comfortable, but that doesn't mean she wasn't conditioned to become so..given her druthers growing up, if it were just as accepted to wear as not to wear, she and most others who 'feel more comfortable being removed from their sexual identities' would not wear them, i'm sure...hell, i'd be more comfortable sexually wearing one, as well.. but why do so many women NEED to feel protected from sexuality... anyway.. good stuff.. good to see someone putting himself out there
