In 2002, at the age of 12, Krsna won first prize in the National Indian Music Competition. He was the youngest and the first non-Indian contestant to achieve such prestigious recognition. Govin Tan, at the age of 14,won first prize in the National Indian Music Competition (2006) in the Tabla Junior Category. He is also the first non-Indian to do so. He again came in first in the National Indian Music Competition (2008) Tabla Open Category at the age of 16. Dexter Tan showed immense talent and interest in music at a very young age. He started learning the violin at seven in school. At present, Dexter is advancing his classical music training under the astute and able tutelage of Lenette Seah, a violin Maestro with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. He has performed widely in many leading programmes and festivals showcasing his talent as a soloist, an accompanist as well as a fusion musician. Sheryl Lim is a fine arts student at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. A passion and love for music prompted her to pick up the Tampura - a pluck stringed Indian instrument that creates an ambience of pleasing & peaceful sound. Sheryl performs regularly with the Tan cousins in many of their highly-acclaimed performance both locally and internationally.
