Hi. I have a problem with my Peavey fx16 mixer. In the main output EQ, I press the left knob to select the eq point. Then I press the right knob to change the Gain, trying to boost or cut frequency but --NOTHING MOVES--. I am sad... Any help??? Thnx
A special type of compressor that is tuned to be sensitive to sibilant sounds, or sounds with high frequencies such as the sound produced by the letter "s", hence the name de-esser.
Just commenting to echo the same concerns below - it would be helpful if Peavey had a little more information out there about just what each of these effects will do to the sound, what "Voxclub" versus some other "vox" does, and so forth.
But does anybody know what deeser, flange etc really mean. I have a lovely 12 track, am a singer, and have self taught myself how to use the desk, but am still uneducated in all the terms and what they mean. HELP!!!!
Really helpful for basic inputting, I've got a 24 track. The only fundamental problem for me is that I know how to save and adjust the effects, BUT I have no knowledge of what each perameter means, eg flange, deesser etc. HELP

Definition of a De-esser.
