  • I actually learned this grammar in Japanese intermediate 1. ^-^

  • Hot chick who's into grammar - how awesome is that!

  • Good intermediate lesson but simply it's the same pattern as:

koto ga dekiru-can do, changed to:

    koto ga suki-like to do.

Oyogu koto ga dekinai-I can't swim.

Oyogu koto ga suki ja nai-I don't like swimming.

Oyogu being an intransitive verb, but with transitive verbs it's better to go with potential forms rather than use koto ga dekiru.

Nihongo ga hanaseru-sounds better than nihongo o hanasu koto ga dekiru.

  • @GenerationDarkness Dokusho.

  • what was the verb they used for "Read"? i only know about 読む

  • I like to have some freedom.

  • "Super awesome high-level"? I don't know about that. This is actually rather basic grammar. :P Still very interesting lesson though. Thanks for posting it here on YT.

  • We loved this at the beginning of semester 2 at my college. : )

  • I get a sense from this video that not only are we learning a few tips on the Japanese language, but that George is teaching the two girls some English lol! ^_^

  • @AbePwns Sometimes its hard to think about the way you speak and the structure of your own sentences. Its like taking a grammar class where you'll be listening to the sentence structures but you'll be thinking .."but.. I already know that". Its just hard to actually put it into words when you're used to just speak without putting effort into forming sentences.
