  • What ohs have the resitances?

  • The radium gives alpha,beta & gamma.

  • The tube only detects beta & gamma. The mantle contains thorium which is radioactive, when it decays alpha, beta & gamma are all released. The alphas are stopped by a few centimetres of air, or even a thickness of paper. Beta particles penetrate further, and willpenetrate the thin metalwallof the tube, as will gamma. Alpas cannot penetrate the wall, of the tube.

  • @TheComingEvents2012 it's probably just alphas coming off it

  • i want to make one to fit in an altoids box and take it to school for a project :D

  • watch my homemade geiger counter

  • What the hell is in your hand if that was radioactive i would'nt have it anywhere where near me,so how are you testing it what is it have you got some crypton night from super man or what.

  • I bought this very good.
