The only war Churchill ever lost was to the British Landlords. They successfully knocked Land Value Tax back in 1909.

Very clear and direct. It seems the only function of Georgism is to provoke dummies into babbling that people who own land will no longer remain secure regardless of whether they work or not. If dummies remain quiet confusions persist subconsciousesly and cause voting for right wingers to punish the poor or left wingers to protect from cradle to grave. When dummies babble about little old ladies who could never safely move we need to cheer the start of the long long process of dehypnotization.

This is a poor presentation of Land Value Taxation. If you've never heard of it before google it. It's an annual tax on property rental values not a transaction tax. This post actually has more views than a Dave Wetzel interview on BBC daytime TV (on utube too) which is a better introduction. Dave's not as funny though. The idea is old, Churchill tried to introduce it.
