Another example of Timbaland's excellent producing...

It is common knowledge now that Jay-Z's song, "Big Pimpin'", produced by Timbaland, uses an uncleared, stolen sample of Arabic musician Hossa m Ramzy's work, "Khusara, Khusara". This was brought to court and Timbaland, as far as I know, has not yet lost the case. The song appears on an obscure collective album of Middle Eastern music titled "Best of Bellydance from Morroco, Egypt, Arabia, and Turkey".

But, in addition to sampling "Khusara", Timbaland appears to have again sampled Ramzy's song "Enta Omri" for a song he produced way back in 2001 for Petey Pablo's first album, titled "Raise Up". The original song appears, I shit you not, as the second track on the very same bellydance. Ramzy's "Khusara" is the first.

Which says that Timbaland is even more lazy in his sampling than previously thought.

You have to admit though, he has good taste.

Kudos to wayneandwax.com for the tip.

  • who cares, i bet the original artists that are getting those fat royalty checks from timbaland aren't complaining

  • Pay attention! Timbaland doesn't credit most of his samples! The guy that owns 'Khusara' had to sue to get his money.

  • man i cant find that enta omri song anywhere :( i want it!

  • I bought it off of iTunes, if that helps.

  • True he took the original song but!, it sounded like shit until he whipped his magic on it! if he paid royalties then it all good. whoever is playing beat investigator needs something else to do because in all fairness you must be very bored or your just a damn hater!

  • Have you been paying attention at all? Timbo almost never pays royalties to anyone he samples.

  • @britrob24 you'er using argumentum ad hominem for a reason and I think we both know why, if you can't address the subject at hand maybe it's because you know I'm right. The simple fact is he was stealing and has stolen from many.

  • @ATENakaATON

The fact that you couldn't even COMPREHEND my comment... not to mention you don't know the difference between "your" and "you're" shows you possess NO logic.

Shut up already. YOUR (not “you're..” see the difference?) stupidity is pathetic.

  • @KanimWhite84 how much talent does Timbaland have if he has to steal from "some no talent ass muthafuckas?"

  • @britrob24 so as long as your not getting caught your not stealing, so if I go into your home and take things which don't belong to me it's not stealing until I get caught, your lack of logic is incredible

  • @TheNoCoincidence fuck you and your culture of thievery

  • Timbaland's the shit, fuck whoever Khusara Khusara is. I'm suprised that you even know who they are...great job you know some no talent ass muthafuckas.

  • WELCOME TO HIP-HOP! I could list 100 samples that Timbaland stole from... Mayada En-Hennawy, John Ottman, David Pomeranz, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, the list goes ON & ON... He's ripped off Lord knows how many people. I don't care though, he's made GREAT music with it. But of course people will complain because everyone wants money. Like I said, welcome to Hip-Hop. I can't hate Timbaland for stealing samples.

  • what hip hop producer even pays royalties? timbaland doesn't even sample, he just loops large, recognizable chunks from already existing music

  • @marikun Interesting videos mister!

You should check out Timbaland's 'Do it' that was done for Nelly Furtado. He actually stole the *entire* song. Not just a sample. The *whole* thing. Verse, chorus, the lot. It's old news but still. Timbo lost the case not surprisingly (aka they settled, ie cash for the finnish guy).
