Visible Dangers associated with Disappearing Species- This entry focuses on both the environment and agricultural issues that affect various animal populations, and how their demise may prove untimely for the rest of us.

By examining honey bees and bats as timely examples, I argue that now, more than ever, we need to protect the environment to work toward reversing the alarming rate of disappearance in animal groups in order to stabilize the biosphere and continue enjoying normal life.

++ Bumblebees, unfortunately, are also suffering, though they are not victims of CCD.

  • They say that cell phones are causing the colony collapse disorder. We are going to have a hell of a time convincing our people and the chinese to get rid of their cell phones!

  • Great video. Thanks for posting it. 5 stars!

  • I agree 2bsirius. There's 531 views now and I wish there were 531 5 star votes. It would push the video to toward the top of YouTube's search engine.

TED has a nice video on the declining bee population too.

  • If bee populations are on the decline it may very well be too late to reverse it.

This combined with bat populations dying out is very very alarming.

  • Excellent video! It is criminal that it has fewer than 200 views...

  • Excellent video. It's amazing how these kinds of biological systems impact our lives so significantly and we don't even realize it. I definitely learned something. Thanks for getting the message out. I also, entered a video into the student pugwash contest. In case your interested you can find my video by searching "Fusion Energy Documentary". It should be the first link.

  • Thanks for posting this video. Every little bit helps so next time put some links for people to find more info. Thanks agaain.m-

  • Good job Michael. Thank you for making this video. People should be discussing this problem before it gets too serious.

"Plight of the Bumble (honey) Bee." You just couldn't resist.
