When I got back from Burning Man, tons of people said, 'I heard you guys had a doozy of a dust storm.' As if Burning Man was ruined. HUH!? After 11 burns, I LOVE dust storms. They are esssential for people to reach the level of surrender necessary for people to evolve. You cannot transform while you hold on to your old patterns.

Saying that "Dust Disturbs Burning Man" (as the NY Times Headline said) is like saying "Frosting Disturbs Cupcakes."

This is a music video homage to the spirit of my camp mates at Bat Country. As well as the root spiritual perspective that governs my life.

  • Thank you for gifting all the vids and your time. Went the last two years and BM and every one there turned my life laround ike no one could belive. Hope to see you on the playa.

  • Hope to see you at home!

  • Nice display of resiliency. And the snuffleoctobike owns, bro.

  • Thank you!!

  • Yeah, yeah, I was there too... Okay, putting up with the dust storms is character building in a true and seasoned burner sort of way...

But after 4 hours of white out, can't see five feet in front of you - dangerous dust storm -- it kind of starts to suck ass. Your experience can be limited when riding your bike to the portapotties is scary, because you might hit someone.

Wish the BLM and BM organization could agree to place the event further inward, where there is less of a wind tunnel.

  • But if you look at the week as a whole, 2 dust days and 5 glorious ones? I'd still say. WE WIN! :)

  • The Dust, while on one level not alot of fun, on many other levels narrows down the immensity of Black Rock City to just a small radius of your neighborhood. My first year, 2008, my tent started to blow down, my neighbors came to my rescue and then we danced our victory dance in the middle of the street while drinking wine and singing... Yes... Dust in the Wind!

  • You're so awesome.

  • Wouldn't have it any other way.

  • Definitely agree with your sensibilities.

I don't express it in the same ways but I don't judge you for your form of expression. Keep loving each other.
