Diagnostic Radiography at UCD

The UCD School of Medicine & Medical Science offers a 4-year BSc. (Hons) degree in Radiography. Diagnostic Radiographers are responsible for producing high quality clinical images fundamental to the diagnosis and treatment of disease. UCD is the National Diagnostic Radiography Training Centre and offers the only undergraduate radiography degree in Ireland and an extensive portfolio of postgraduate training and research.


Our students are taught both the theory and practice of all modern imaging modalities (x-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound) and have clinical exposure throughout the programme. The degree programme also provides an opportunity for international mobility through our participation in the Erasmus programme.
