@blackcivicguitarist You are right, I NEVER tie a knot without spitting on it.

Thats a shitty knot. It works on heavy line, but the friction of sinching it down will burn light line and make it weaker. Learn the palomar knot. Its much simpler to tie, doesnt burn the line on the sinch. Theres two strands of line on the eye of the lure instead of one. Its also been tested time and time again using digital scales and has beaten every other knot used by fishermen.

This is my new favorite knot... It's super easy to tie and it's super strong... I trust this one more than a palomar knot.

That's correct mono & floro is also stronger when wet.

Be sure to put a little spit on that knot before you tighten and cinch it down.

Its not so much not to weaken the line. Water/saliva makes the knot sinch down tighter so it doesnt undo itself mid cast or retrieve.

I think this knot and a Palomar are just about the only knots an angler needs. Oh yeah, an arbor knot to tie your line on the reel!

lol.. this is the only fishing knot i know :)
i heard its good to spit on the knot before sinching it down to reduce friction so it doesn't weaken the line. just somethin i thought i'd throw out there.
