@brennanp88 "get into heaven?" your sense of heaven is incorrect my friend. heaven is not a "place" but a reality in which God reigns as intended. (reference Rob Bell's Love Wins for further clarification) and the only thing to "do" is accept Christ as Lord.

@batchoftruth I'm assuming by your comment that you claim to be an Atheist. That is a true fairytale as you cannot say God doesn't exist if you haven't exhausted all options to prove such a theory. That's the scientific method by the way.
Christianity isn't about fire and brimstone, it's about giving credit where credit is due. All that fire and brimstone defense is from those who have no knowledge of the subject.

@YouWageredTexas1 "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6 The part about being a parent that is so hard is leading by example. By leaving church service before it is finished, or complaining about a song played during the worship service, or any other such action, a parent is telling their child that God isn't worth their time and church is all about "the show" rather than God. God is worth far more than that.

@YouWageredTexas1 "A good way to turn someone to Christ is NOT by insult their opinion". Tell that to Jesus, He flat out insulted the Pharisees and Sadducees on many occasions. Damon is not angry with homosexuals, but rather with the spirit of homosexuality. And queer isn't always used in a derogatory sense, it used to mean different, much like "the N word" which came from Latin (Niger) which simply meant black.
