When Patti Smith was inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame she performed this song right after Aretha Franklin sang "I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You" and I was sort of uncomfortable watching it. It's just such a virulent word (or we've been made to believe it is).
Leave it to Patti Smith to go there, lol.
