@mossy121c Exactly, i agree with you. I hate it and dont understand it when the brits say about irish genocide "yeah but that was years ago..." what does that matter? that was our ancestors. But the difference is the British Army is not a foreign force, it is the army of the country and that is the end of the matter. It defends us from murderers like the IRA.

@tysonthepooper You can only judge history by the standards/values of the day. Whilst the Potato famine was not genocide akin to the holocaust we are still talking about the mid 19th century. This was a time when all major european powers had or wanted empire, where poverty was widespread in Britain itself, and when in the United States slavery was still practiced. You cannot judge through modern standards. You can however judge actions of the IRA by modern standards. They are truly shameful.
