Mormons belief in Jesus Christ - Mormon Prophet Thomas S. Monson
The Twelve Apostles are Special Witnesses of the name of Christ in all the world. This is an except from the 1 hour program, filmed in Jerusalem; the Sacred Grove, the Kirtland Temple; Nauvoo, Illinois; and other significant sites, features members of the Mormon First Presidency bearing personal testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ's divine mission.
I know it's silly and Mormons are just another religious group, but I always picture the people in their protective garments, one of the most ridiculous rituals and superstitions.

7. Q. How is a catechism used?
A. Alford explained that they were read out loud. A teacher would read the question; another teacher may read the answer. Then the students would try repeating the answer. This would go on in wash-rinse-repeat style until the students could recite the answer correctly.

Realizing where we need to change, we sorrow for the sadness we have caused. This leads to sincere and heartfelt confession to the Lord and, when needed, to others. When possible, we restore what we have wrongly harmed or taken.

Concerning President Taylor's faith, Elder Perry told how John Taylor arrived in Kirtland, Ohio, in 1837 as a new convert. There he found bitter spirits of apostasy among some of the Church leaders, including Parley P. Pratt who was an instrument of his conversion while on a mission in Canada.

Brigham did just that upon arrival in the Salt Lake Valley, establishing the Musical and Dramatic Association -- which later became the Deseret Dramatic Association -- in 1850.
This enthusiasm was passed to his successors, who likewise encouraged exploration of the arts among the Saints. President Wilford E. Woodruff even decided to send others besides Hafen and Pratt on art missions, including John B. Fairbanks, Edwin Evans and Herman Haag.

President Young, a fervent champion of the arts, was known to dismiss "tight-laced religious professors of the present generation (who) have a horror at the sound of a fiddle." Instead, he once declared that were he marooned on an island of cannibals, the first thing he would do to "civilize" the inhabitants would be to construct a theater.

After much prayer, the First Presidency acknowledged Hafen and Pratt's request to go to Paris and set them apart as official "art missionaries" for the church.
The decision was in perfect tandem with the precedent Brigham Young set regarding the Saints and the arts.
