....!!! Asbestos filter? I've got to see that one.

I'm not a big fan of this particular one, mostly because the song is too slow compared to the Tareyton ads of the late 60s. See my faves for some of the best vintage commercials in my opinion (some cig ads). I'll check yours out too. My fave tobacco commercial is probably the psychadelic Raleigh/Belair or the Kent commercial where the pretty young lady takes a monster hit off her cigarette with the asbestos filter.

lol It clearly insinuates it -showing the resulting damage or their ciggie brawl lol. Plantiff over-ruled, defendant wins, no compensation required. Can't we just agree the commercial is a classic and really funny? The Paul Mall one is even better, that lady is getitng off on those ciggies, and the 'doctors recommend' vid where they show tobacco doesn't cause cancer in any body part, but they leave out mentioning the lungs! lol Great commercials, great times! Oh for those days again.

It doesn't portray domestic violence though. Judgment for the plaintiff in the amount of $5000. DISMISSED!

Who's anti-smoking? Not I. You're the one who's whining Your Holiness, not me. Apparently humourless individuals such as yourself can't recognize a joke when you read one. The commercial is hilarious, they love the cigs so much they give each other a black eye fighting for them,it's supposed to be funny Einstein, get off your soapbox jugde Judy. I love the commercial.

She lived about 20 years longer than I'd want or hope to, but it sounds like your aunt was a fighter who enjoyed life.
Men, cards and cigarettes! Ahhh.... the good ol' days when men could smoke, drink and cuss without someone whining about it.

This was originally seen during 1965-'66, when Tareyton was stressing, in its jingle, that it was "the taste worth fighing for". Today, the brand is marketed by R.J. Reynolds, who acquired all of American Tobacco's cigarettes through a series of mergers a few years ago....
