At the time this campaign was created health insurance did exactly what it said on the tin: you got ill, you were insured, you got treatment. Preventive measures to stay healthy were not considered; and most people perceived those with private healthcare as little more than rich queue jumpers. Our Youre Amazing, We Want You To Stay That Way campaign not only won the pitch, it reframed the business category and made Bupa the brand leader in an increasingly competitive marketplace. As an added bonus, it got rid of all those cliched shots of doctors and hospital beds, and allowed a stream of agencies with different specialist skills to win numerous awards. Amazing.
