I fail to see whats wrong with using the square tactic, it works! If your outnumbered and the enemy have very good cavalry, you now have a fighting chance. And even if you do have to fight a square, just use archers, shoot at the backs at them and they drop just like any other unit. Everything has a weekness.
stupid ass tactic for medieval2. id curb stomp ur ass in online game you joker. u fucking have units from 1500s (your pikes in full plate armor) vs 1200s enemy (knights in mail). on top of that, pike units DIRECTLY counter cav units, but your facing only cav. this "strategy" blows dick against anything but easy computer general. GG nothin more to be said about this cheese.
@GuiAlphaProductions What has real life got to do with it? I'm talking about the games, and in the games they are noob tactics because they are used by newbies with no skill. Now the argument is over :)
@Brk40 hey ppl mixing noob with usefull a nade laucher is noob NO is very usefull to battle in real life nade laucher save the death of many so the square tatic did too ARGUMENT OVER
@GuiAlphaProductions Yes and grenade launchers exist too, but that doesn't mean they can't be considered 'nooby' in some games because they take little skill and are used by noobs

@Brk40 search for "Battle of Aljubarrota" and see what "noob circle" did to the castillians and the aragoneses.
one of the most uneven battles of history: About 6,500 portuguese men against more than 31,000 men better armed and more well-trained.
Result was clear - a crushing defeat of Crown of Castille's alliance.
