@kendall65 I have trouble breaking 80 when it's quiet. Actually I've only done it 4-5 times so I don't feel sorry for you. :-)

I'm certainly not a golfer on Bubba's level, but I'm decent enough to be under scratch...and if I'm playing with someone that moves, walks, whispers, clanks their clubs, cleans their clubs, rakes the bunker.....whatever, while I'm playing my shot, I suddenly struggle to break 80. And coincidently, I'm out-of-control ADD, which is a big issue with Bubba. People who don't deal with this issue have no idea what it's like to try to hit a shot with someone walking. It's hell.

Elk must have chirped back at him after the first comment. Anyone who's been to pro tourney knows guys don't move around if you're in another players line of sight. Elk either didn't care or was effing with Watson. You hear two versions of Elk, real class act or bit of an ahole. Probably both are partially true.

Steve Elkington is a legend, Bubba watson will be a legend. Just a bad day at the office, and Bubba did apologise

@xexeron1 oh, like a win earlier this year and making the playoffs for the '10 pga. then making the ryder cup high on the list? while elkington finished several shots out at the pga (making it his ONLY good finish this year) and didn't make the ryder cup. guess watson still doesn't have the balls? yeah maybe he got too mad, but a smart veteran walking during your shot repeatedly is apparently okay. bubba has obv grown past his attitude and proved critics like you wrong. so who's the douchebag?

@xexeron1 - looks like he did :)

Oh yea he's self taught never had a formal lesson, forgot about that

Hit a 9 iron 194 y. Dead center green on Sunday, but he sucks right!
We all wish we could do that, don't lie you know you do.
Roger Maltbie and Johnny Miller were talking about this on TV. They were saying that Watson's length off the tee was contributing to the friction between him and Elkington. His shots were routinely 50 yards in front of Elkington's, hence Elk's habit of continuing to walk even when Bubba was taking a shot, as he was way behind Watson on the fairway.
Miller said that even if you're that far behind and are out of sight, the rule is STOP, when the other guy is about to hit.
