"Theorizing that combining video feedback with bluescreen technology would create a unique special effect, fanfilm maker Barry Finnigan incorrectly connected his camcorder to his compositing software...
...and vanished."

QUANTUM LEAP FANS UNITE! Here is a fanfilm I did a couple years back! I leap from channel to channel attempting to put right television that once went wrong. Every effect was done by me, and I leap right into Star Trek, so enjoy.

  • cool special effects. how the hell did you do that?

  • Its a long story. ;)

If you're serious about learning, I can direct you to the website where I bought the software. There's a number of us on Youtube who have tried to duplicate the leap effect, and no two of us did it the same way.

  • @SpreadingtheMuse cool. whats the website? does the leap effect always look the same for you? this IS you in the video right?

  • Thats me. ;)

Youtube objects to posting websites, lets see here:

triple w FXHOME with a com

That gives you the lightning and glow. You'll need editing software with Chroma Key to glue it all together.

The leap always looks the same for me as I always use the same method. There's another example online. Search for "quantum leap of Bernie" here on youtube. Its under my other name.

  • yay! I found IT!! Omg i've been looking for this for years! no kidding. :D ah, i'm so happy.

  • Does that mean that the movie is famous somewhere? Woo hoo! ;)

see all

  • "Oh....son of a bitch"

    HAHA!

  • The scenes of space battles come from two major sources besides Star Trek.

    Babylon 5 (1994-1999)

    Space: Above and Beyond (1995-1996)

    Both available on DVD. ;)
