I partially agree. I think that we do have a right to own firearms, but not assault weapons. It says so in our second amendment. I do think we need background checks on gun owners, though (no thanks to the NRA)

Banning things should be banned to do because banning doesnt do shit when someone wants to do a school shooting. It's more about putting commensense into peoples mind and to hopefully they will think it is not a good idea to do this kind of stuff. I hate it when we want to solve a problem we just go all out and say, lets ban this it, make it illegal etc. Hash is banned too but ive seen plenty of people who live with it fine. Smoking and alcohol should be banned too then.
