@dmc31400 well yes, I like Angostura too! But as for my whiskey sour I prefer bourbon with lemon and sugarcane syrup plus egg-white. I think I understand the reason why she puts angostura with jameson - jameson is too sweet even sickly sweet and for compensation Angostura maybe will work here. But I have doubts whether it will work with bourbon for an example?

No Angostura at all here - too spicy! And Lime instead of lemon and It will taste much good and clear. And you could try RobJameson (kinda Irish RobRoy version) where instead dewars you use Jameson - it tastes more solid and full than soapy white dewars - here you could use angostura, but anyway Jameson Sour much better! Cheers! :-)
