@ksbrownie1 yes but the stuff on naindra lades was recorded in the bssm period. I don't know about usually just a t shirt, but the first halve of the album (niandra lades) was recorded at bssm. So the song's weren't written for drugs
@ksbrownie1 I would assume it wasn't made for the sole purpose of drug money. He also said in that 1994 interview that his friends convinced him to release it, he probably was never going to release it, it was for his own listening pleasure.
Smile from the streets you hold was taken off the market in 1999, because Frusciante was ashamed because he admitted this album was released for drug money. But if you look at interviews in 1997 he looks cleaner than in the 1994 interview. The Niandre album was realeased in march of 1994 and that horrific interview was in April of 1994. So didnt Frusciante use the money off of Niandre for drug money as well? the why didnt he take if off to sell? becasue he only went into rehab in 1998
@Cubehead666 haha cool sounds great, have you heard the new john/omar collab released on omars website on the weekend, hopefully john will do an internet release of this aswell
Apparently he's gonna put Smile From The Streets You Hold back on the market at some point in the future. I think I read it in an interview.
