based upon the tone i can get from the mod, yes i eliminate the muddy sound, i seemed that its not a hm100 but an amp simulator with high gain coz of its character that is very dynamic to the volume of the guitar and strumming.

Correct me if Im wrong..your mod seems to eliminate..the muddy sounds of the Distortion to make the output sound more clearer?

whats your pre-amp setting i can't seem to get the same sound. i end up getting more distortion...
