@KGlovesNR I believe they allow you to change the course of the rockets to make them crash if you have a high enough science skill.

@Gigantotherium i know this is 10 months old comment, but yes they do live.In the ending credits, they come back to help Novac in one of the endings...cant remember which though. I think the NCR ending.

@MegaSonicKing Sorry, my mistake. I meant Fallout 1 not Fallout 2. Fallout's final boss was Master, Fallout 2 final boss was frank Horrigan.

No bark says he thinks that the "Great Journey" is that the Ghouls go to the moon. If you look where the rockets are pointed at, it's toward the moon. I'm guessing they eventually die though because they were using boot leg rockets and suits.

They go to space they loose oxygin then they die the end

@0acezero0 That's not always true. I played Fallout 3 and denied making the wasteland survival guide with moira. Surprisingly, it is found in new vegas. In fallout 2 you either became ally with the ending boss or you destroy him. The story though suggests you destroyed the Master as he was known.
