Phir miloge kabhi es baat ka wada karlo - 1966 film Yeh Raat Phir Na Aayegi. Singers: Mohammed Rafi, Asha Bhosle. Lyrics by S H Bihari. Music by O P Nayyar. Stars: Biswajeet Chatterjee, Sharmila Tagore. Another film with the same name was made in 1992. The legendary singer Mohammed Rafi (1924-1980) still continues to entertain millions around the world. Surely, he justly and rightly deserves more honours for his selfless contributions to the Bollywood film and entertainment industry. Under-rated, under-paid Mohammed Rafi was honoured with the "best singer of the millennium" by Hero Honda and Stardust magazine in Mumbai on 07 January 2001, over twenty years after Rafi passed away in July 1980. There would be no film songs or ghazals, singers or even screenplays and superstars without lyricists and writers. Why not give full due credit to the poor lyricists first, and also to the comparatively super-rich music composers, producers and directors? Only the best lyricists, musicians and singers perform for http://www.youtube.com/spsyed live shows, mehfils, ghazal nights...

  • Rafi sahib passed away 30 years ago (30 July 1980), but his legend lives on as his voice still continues to entertain and amaze millions around the world. No one replace humble, modest and pious Rafi sahib who changed Indian film playback and music industry forever. He is a book on how to sing. His playback voice changed the fate of many Indian film actors and made them superstars of their time. I feel honoured to have met him, be his family's neighbour in London-UK. RIP Mohammed Rafi.

  • @spsyed Brother, what a lucky man to have been the neighbour and friend of THE GREAT RAFI SAAB.

I grew up listening to his songs from fifties. I have missed many an appointments because I stopped by road side whenever I hear a Rafi song on the radio anywhere. To me Rafi saab is very much alive. with love, Surya Prakash

  • @kappaiyer , thanks for sharing your lifetime experience. Some thirty after the playback singer, Rafi uncle, passed away, millions of people around the globe still continue to enjoy the gems he gave so selflessly to the world and the humanity. All credit goes to Rafi sahib and those who created such beautiful lyrics for the incomparable playback voice. RIP, unforgettable Mohammed Rafi who will be remembered for many decades or even centuries to come. Thanks again for taking the time to write.

  • Wah! hum se ik aur mulaqat ka wada ker lo :lajawab:

  • Musical Nirvana! All involved in this song are touched by divinity! What delectable instrumentation...amazing emotions....voices of the great Rafi and Asha like pure honey....coating each word of poetry....the flute particularly is worth dying for! It shadows the great voices and embelishes them so subtly! We are blessed to be in a land of such talented people and should thank our stars that we can listen to these gems!

  • wow melody

  • See how melody flows from this song--Hats Off to Rafi and O.P.Nayyar and the then film musicians Chorasia on flute and Shivkumar Sharma on Santoor--wow--the instruments are also pouring in the required love emotions.

  • @gangajumna

I could not agree with you more. The great team of OP Nayyar, Rafi and Asha! They rarely did an ordinary song! All songs from this trio are evergreen ! One can listen over and over and not get bored!
