On my walk home from work on Lundi Gras, Charlee called me up and told me to meet her in Artillery Park. When I arrived, this was what was going down. It was a gigantic mission group gearing up to go do evangelism during Mardi Gras. God gave me a physical vision of what He could do in the future -hundreds of locals from the French Quarter, the Marigny, the CBD, and the Treme -former prostitutes, the homeless, businessmen, artists, "gutter punks", and crazy street performers- gathering to worship Jesus in the heart of New Orleans, declaring to the world that Jesus is making all things new and has provided forgiveness for all who trust in him alone. This is what I want Sunday morning to look like in the Quarter.
