Paper Moon is a short-lived situation comedy which aired on ABC during the fall of 1974, starring Christopher Connelly and Jodie Foster in the roles of Moses Pray and his presumed daughter, Addie. The series is based on the 1973 Peter Bogdanovich film of the same name starring Ryan O'Neal and real-life daughter Tatum O'Neal.

The film and television version were based on a Joe David Brown novel entitled Addie Pray.

Kodiak was a short lived, half-hour adventure program (produced by Warner Bros. TV) that aired Friday evenings on ABC during the 1974-1975 television season. The show revolved around the main character of Cal "Kodiak" McKay (played by Clint Walker), an Alaska State Trooper. Kodiak, always accompanied by his Eskimo sidekick Abraham Lincoln Imhook, used his four-wheel drive truck to track down desperate killers through 50,000 miles of Alaska backcountry. The show was broadcast against NBC's mega-hit Sanford and Son. Kodiak couldn't lure viewers in to watch and was cancelled after the first episode, although a total of four episodes were aired.

Kolchak: The Night Stalker is an American television series that aired on ABC during the 1974-75 season. It featured a fictional newspaper reporter -- Carl Kolchak, played by Darren McGavin -- who investigates mysterious crimes with unlikely causes, particularly ones law enforcement authorities won't pursue. Often these crimes involve some element of the supernatural or science fiction, such as fantastical creatures.

The series was preceded by two television movies, The Night Stalker (1972) and The Night Strangler (1973). While the series only lasted for one season, it remained popular in syndication, and is often credited as the inspiration for the popular television series The X-Files. Following The X-Files' success, the franchise was resurrected in 2005 in the form of a second television series with a new cast and characters, as well as subsequent novels and comic books.

The entire series is available in syndication and is occasionally rerun on the Sci-Fi Channel under its original expanded title, Kolchak: The Night Stalker. In 2008, it began running on Chiller. It is also available on DVD.

In 1974, Sonny and Cher agreed to end the show as they were separating from each other. Their timeslot was given to Tony Orlando and Dawn the next fall. They both starred in separate variety shows over the next two years. Sonny Bono's 1974 variety series, The Sonny Comedy Revue, only lasted a few episodes. Initially, people assumed that his show would be the greater success when it was heard that Cher was to appear in her own show.

Get Christie Love! is a 1974 made-for-television film starring Teresa Graves as an undercover female police detective who is determined to overthrow a drug ring. This film is based on Dorothy Uhnak's crime-thriller novel, The Ledger. However, the main character "Christie Opara" -- a white, New York Police detective—was dropped completely and "Christie Love" is who emerged. * In a famous scene in Quentin Tarantino's 1992 film, Reservoir Dogs, the characters Mr. Pink (Steve Buscemi), Mr. White (Harvey Keitel), Mr. Orange (Tim Roth), and "Nice Guy" Eddie Cabot (Chris Penn), engage in a brief discussion regarding Get Christie Love!. * In the 2002 Austin Powers movie Goldmember, the character Foxxy Cleopatra uses the famous phrase, "You're under arrest, Sugah!"
