  • the old singers dont get the credit anymore its sad

  • I remember this song when I was stationed at Chanute AFB, Illinois in 1962. I always put a dime into the juke box before we marched away to tech school.

  • Thanks! Please post more Frankie Miller!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pleassssss! One of the best voices in country. He deserves to be seen & heard as much as possible.

  • wow; this is so exciting to see. i remember this was my brother's favorite song when we were 10 or 11yrs. old. i've looked for it ever since but didn't remember the artist's name. thanks for posting this. my brother died when he was only 23. i miss him so much and it feels so good to hear this song.

  • Like everyone else said, Thanks for sharing!! Very cool peice of history. It's the real thing.

  • @pourmecoffee

Yeah, in case he wants to write down the lyrics for another great new song !

  • Many Many THANKS for posting !!!!!

  • This is a great song, and I like Frankie's version of HIS SONG. However, life and my personal taste has me enjoying the great Frankie Laine doing this tune. I even played it when I was working at KFAT in Gilroy. The song is an absolute American classic.

  • It's Frankies song, he wrote it. Faron's version is good too though.

  • I have this song on an old country album. Always loved both the song and Frankie's voice, has a special place in my heart as I used to listen to it with my ex-fiance, now sadly dead. It brings back such wonderful memories of times that'll never come again.
