The next video shows in sustainablesterling's videos shows the students on the cart. It's more about the students gaining basic proficency with their feet on the ground first, not the weight of a 'student driver' (Couldn't resist that pun!).

you should work less from the ground, and more from the cart. those horses are drafts, and therefrore, even your added weight to the cart won't make the slightestdifference to them
