@tpstrat14 This kind of playing is what made Maynard famous. As far as his playing in the 70's and 80's, he didn't lose the ability to play with soul, the majority of people just don't know what music is and Maynard probably just "commercialized" his sound to appeal to the majority, no matter how little they appreciate true musicianship.

not so sure about that trombone @ 3:11- sounds a bit crap. he could of used the trombone section to do a call and response instead. The lone trombone sounds a bit military bandish .
