@andyQ123 well if your doing this at home you can use a stethoscope and listen for the pop in your stomach. It doesnt really matter as long as you know its in there

In the field when you are on the floor with several patients you will use your stethoscope to check placement. In an ideal world you would always use pH but since this is not an ideal world often times it won't be done that way. I am sure this varies per hospital policies but never say never...
Great job ladies, I am thankful we did it with the simulators and not each other, that looks painful, YIKES!!

NEVER use a stethoscope to confirm position of the tube. Use pH testing (pH<4) or Xrays.

WHOA! Fantastic job. She was a fantastic patient. Not to down the student who did the insertion, but receiving the tube is exponentially harder that placing one. Great job, y'all. Seems like a really supportive group.
