The Saudis have one of the most repressive regimes in the world. The statement by vandalusian is complete nonsense. The only reason the US supports Saudi Arabia is because of its oil - it is the largest producer. Go live in Saudi Arabia for three years and then come back and write about their wonderful society!

The Saudis don't terrorize their own population - that's why the US supports and arms them,it's not like they are hated by the Saudi and other Arab populations. The US has nothing but flowers to hand out to other countries. International consensus?
