If the blades are set flat on the paddle you can slide one end under the deck bungees and use the other blade to stabilize the boat so it doesn't rock so much.
Learning this piece is my next project.

Not really, The kayak is pretty rounded and the bit of rocking really won't be negated by using a paddle as an outrigger. Also that paddle is a one piece thus non adjustable. Gambate kudasai!
