this might seem dumb to ask but is this a horror movie in any way?

@GUCCImontana420 That really depends on how you look at it. Is there psychological horror in it? Yes. Is there bloody, gory horror in it? Yes. Is the movie all about horror? I wouldn't necessarily say so. It has a taste of everything... Horror, drama, action, comedy, romance, mystery. To me it's a movie all about life, good and bad. There are some cringeworthy parts, but the movie isn't flaunting them every 2 minutes if that's what you're asking. But it's really good. I recommend it.

@Cookiec1973 Yes, but he was obsessed with this movie...if you google Cho Seung Hui and MK Ultra..they will show u several pictures of him doing poses from this movie. MK-Ultra allows the government to use people remote controlled, IE Manchurian Canidate. The metals such as Iron, Copper, and Mercury found in some medications allow the government to send remote controlled signals to people and control them. People have complained of picking up radio signals in their teeth fillings.

@kungblao:That's not the reason. The reason is that CSH was a basketcase. I have seen lots of violent movies, heard agressive songs and all of that, but you don't see me shooting up people. Only insane people commit heinous crimes like these, their reason; they are bat shit crazy and seek revenge.

I just remember this being on IFC's Midnight movies thing on OnDemand one night. Everyone was asleep and I was looking for a good film to watch. Figured I'd fall asleep cuz I started it at 3AM. I stayed up watching the entire thing and was so tired I could barely keep my eyes open. LOVE IT. So glad that Spielberg and Will Smith stepped back from a remake of it. I just don't think it should be remade at all. Please bear in mind that I'm American as well. We don't all love remakes, lol.

This movie (the title and plot) is based off a Japanese manga. BUT as a Japanese I am fairly confident we could never have adapted it into a movie this good. When it comes to action flicks we really have to hand it to Koreans and Chinese. Hats off.
